What kind of God exists?

The God Christians believe in is an absolute existence, the One who created time, the universe and all that is in it. Being the Creator of all things, He Himself is not created, but is the only self-existent One.

There was once a man called Moses who asked God to reveal more of Himself to him. God then declared Himself, telling Moses, "I AM WHO I AM" (Ex 3:14). Without beginning, without end, God simply is.

One only needs to observe life—the wonder of nature and our own bodies—to see that God created us with great care, attention and love. No matter who we are or what we do, God still causes the sun to rise upon us daily.

The Bible also shows us how God reveals His good intentions to humanity. Jesus Christ tells us, "God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." (Jn 3:16). Paul, an apostle of Jesus, tells us this mystery that it is God Himself who came down in the flesh to live among men (1 Tim 3:16)

God wants to save us from sin because He knows that the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus (Rom 6:23).

We also see God’s love in His tender care for us.

Katheryn Louie’s life was turned upside down when a car accident took the life of her husband of 32 years. In the midst of painful loss, she found healing through Jesus, who personally cared for her wounds and brought her to a beautiful recovery.

Katheryn isn’t alone in her experience. Many other Christians in our community have experienced the wondrous abidance and peace that Jesus has promised us.

Knowing that the almighty and absolute God deeply cares for us can also be your greatest source of hope and comfort. Come and seek God with us, for He seeks to be near you today.
